Brent Schreckhise | Honduras

Reaching the lost souls of Honduras with the apostolic message is the heartbeat of the Brent Schreckhise family.  For Bro. Schreckhise, this burden began at the age of fourteen during a trip into the jungles of Honduras as a translator for the Christian Medical Society.  Having been raised in Honduras, he was no stranger to the mission field.  However, during the trip he felt a call to personally continue in the work started by his parents in the country.  Over the last ten years that call has been reaffirmed as he has worked to establish The Pentecostals of Honduras, headquartered in the city of La Ceiba.

Arriving in the city of La Ceiba with his wife and children in November of 2004, Bro. Schreckhise began having services in the living room of his home.  Months later when the congregation outgrew the living room, God provided the location which now houses the headquarters church.  At first, the former Baptist church building was merely “on loan” to the Pentecostals of Honduras.  Before long, however, God provided the opportunity for them to purchase the sanctuary they were using as well as a second building that housed offices, Sunday school rooms and a second (larger) sanctuary.  Since that time The Pentecostals of Honduras has grown to include 13 churches and preaching points.  Key elements of the growth that has been experienced are evangelism, Bible School sessions, minister training, church planting, and Sunday School. Currently God is opening doors for a bilingual Christian school to be opened at the campground owned by the ministry.

Thankful for the steady growth they have seen in the last ten years, the Schreckhise family believes that God has even greater things ahead for the ministry of the Pentecostals of Honduras.  In a country with a population of over seven million to reach, time is short.  Thanks go to all those who have joined with the Schreckhise family through prayer and finances. You have made it possible for them to fulfill their God-given dream.
